Darla Terrell Appointed to Director of Agent Development at Koenig & Strey

Most Chicago area brokers jettisoned their sales associate training programs within hours of the fall of Lehman Brothers in 2008. Training is expensive. It's also difficult to trace any revenues directly to training. So out the trainers went. Koenig & Strey, on the other hand, added training staff and resources. For if there was ever a time for supporting our sales associates it is during this recession. Having the best agents is how Koenig & Strey became successful and has stayed successful. And if you want great sales agents, you must provide a strong infrastructure of support. That is why we regard agent training as crucial to our future success.

Koenig & Strey has 6 very experienced trainers on the Agent Development team. They train our sales associates in everything from how to do a listing presentation and real estate law to technology, marketing and how to run a business. The training is ongoing every month and is done at the agent's convenience in the offices, at National Louis University, and in online webinars.

Our agents appreciate the support they get from Agent Development, especially because it demonstrates Koenig & Strey's commitment to providing the highest level of support to our agents.

Darla Terrell's promotion to Director of the Agent Development team further demonstrates this strong commitment to our agents' success. Darla is an experienced professional with many years of experience as an agent, broker manager, and trainer. She brings a wealth of experience and enormous enthusiasm for helping agents to be successful.

According to Koenig & Strey CEO, Doug Ayers, “Darla been a driving force in creating education and development programs that are exactly what agents need to grow their business in this market. At a time when many other brokerages do not have the resources to devote to agent development and training, a program like this is a key part of attracting both new and experienced agents.  I am very pleased to have her leading this initiative as well as a top-notch group of trainers.”

Darla has put together a complete training program to get our sales associates ready for the new license requirements. “This year", she states, "we face a tremendous opportunity as all Illinois real estate agents complete increased broker licensing requirements.  We are dedicated to building a program that will make the transition as smooth as possible, allowing the agents to remain focused on their clients.”
